      近百年来,中国图书馆学教育经历了民国时期、1950—1977年和改革开放以来三个历史阶段。文章探讨了这三个历史阶段社会的经济、政治、教育、文化与科学技术环境对图书馆学教育制度、教育规模、教育思想、教育模式和教育内容的影响,以及图书馆学教育通过培养人才和输出知识为社会做出的贡献;认为民国时期的图书馆学教育培养出不少优秀人才,但社会环境制约了图书馆学教育的发展,1950—1977年的社会环境有了明显改善,但图书馆学教育发展仍较为缓慢,1978年至今,社会环境发生了根本变化,图书馆学教育对社会做出了巨大贡献。因此,图书馆学教育要与社会形成良性互动,需要实现图书馆学教育社会依存性与自身独立性的统一、工具理性与价值理性的统一、“变”与“不变”的统一。参考文献31。

    Library Science Education(LSE)in China has undergone through almost one hundred years. This paper discusses and explores the development of the LSE and its interaction with the society in mainly three historical periods. This paper,on one hand,analyzes the influences of the social,economic,political,educational,cultural,and scientific and technological environments on LSE's system,scale,thought,mode,and content from a theoretical perspective;on the other hand,this paper points out that the LSE promoted and supported the development of the society through cultivating talents and disseminating knowledge. This paper,therefore,suggests that owing to the profound influence of the New Culture Movement,as well as to the active support from the society during the period of the Republic of China,the LSE had cultivated a number of outstanding professionals and made a significant contribution to the development of librarianship. However,the development of the LSE was severely constrained by the social environment of the Republic of China,due to the lack of a good interaction with the society. From 1950 to 1977,the social environment in China had been significantly improved and was considerably more conducive to the development of the LSE,resulting in evident increases in both the quantity and the categories of talents in Library Science,when compared with those in the Republic of China. Nevertheless,due to excessive interventions from the politics and the negative effects of the Soviet LSE system,the Chinese LSE developed relatively slow. Therefore,it made limited contribution to the society,and the good interaction was not yet established. From 1978 till now,there have been fundamental changes in the Chinese social environment where the LSE was grounded. These changes not only brought rapid development both in the scale and the progressing speed of the LSE but also promoted the construction and sustained improvement of the education system. Specifically,these changes revolutionized the content and pedagogical system for the talents training in the LSE. Meanwhile,the implementation of the Market Economy and the accelerated processes of the social informatization severely challenged the development of the LSE in China. In the decades starting from 1978,the LSE has made remarkable contributions to the Chinese society,not only by cultivating a large number of information professionals for library works,as well as for other professions related. Moreover,the LSE actively disseminated and transmitted the professional knowledge of the Library Science to the society,which promoted the progress of the society. This article proposes that,in order to establish a good interaction between the LSE and the society in China,it is necessary to ensure the unity of self-independence and social dependence,instrument rationality and value rationality,dynamism and stability of the LSE. 31 refs.
