| Abstract: |
| The social value of a public library refers to: l)What the state of affairs is,while is brings its social functions into play; 2)The actual role it plays in the society and 3)in what degree that it is approved by the society. The theoretical value of it is the mission that the society has entrusted to the library and the requirement that the social function should bring into play and the maximum benefits it should bring to the society is the ideal realm it should achieve. The actual social value presentes by different libraries is not equal because of the restrictions of social factors,especially the different leading levels of the local leading cadres and the directors of libraries. |
