| Abstract: |
| The paper expounds some related concepts of authority control and the relationship between practices of authority control and cataloging.It goes further into models of data base management,particularly the functions of data dictionaries and analyses the aplication of authority control in online catalogs.Lastly,it points out that the authority control is a tool of managing large data bases,and the importance of authority control will grow along with the growth of online catalogs.16 refs. |
