Abstract:
To carry a research for main entries is to have the main entries of the East-West different bibliographic description systems differentiated，analyzed and interpreted.To have or not to have the main entries is not simply a technical problem,but a philosophical and historcal one either.In the different social background of the East and the West,the main entries that place themselves in different historical stages,cannot but be products of ulity of opposites.The main entry is a kind of special historical and cultural phenomenon.Whether in the East or in the West，with the progess of civilization and the modern technological development,the "weird circle"of the main entry will be jumped over sooner or later.6 refs.
