| Abstract: |
| According to the statistics, up to 1911 the Chinese ancient books were not less than 106 titles. During the years from 1949 to 1989, there bad been more than 6200 titles of ancient books sorted out and published throughout the country, falling short of 10 percent of those the country holds. With regard to the library, the strengthening of developing and utilizing the ancient books is of realistic and far-reaching significance. To this end, a team for sorting out, developing and utilizing them should be set up; a plan linked with the country's sorting and publishing work and a good job of cooperation should be made. 3 tabs. 4 refs.
