| Abstract: |
| China's understanding of the importance of the industrial structure for the information service conforms to that of the vvorld. Policies and plans of giving aid and priority to the development of information service industry have also drawn up. The software service and the reference service have constituted the greater part of the specific gravity;the information processing service is comparatively better but has not formed an independent market;data bases internally edveloped seldomly provide external services and the information provision service is now in aposition fo transforming from the traditional period to the modern times;the on-line retrieval and the network service fall relatively behind;the printed documentaty information service still constitutes the greater part of the specific weight;the information service market is at a sprouting and rising stage with a broad prospect but haven't been prosperous yet.It is necessary to take information technology as the stratigic focal point; the publicity of information consciousness of the whole people should be strengthened to stimulate social information demands;enhance the information legislation and normalize people to heighten the vigour of information institutions.22 refs. |
