Abstract:
During the period of Emperor Qianlong's rule(1736-1795)in the Qing Dynasty,the "Fenlei Bei Jian"(classification) in an book known as "Ru Fan"written by Li Yuan is a pure index,the technology of which has already come up to the standard of the modern times.Its priciple of compilation is just what the scholar Zhang Xuecheng has interpreted the essence of index,i.e."interdependence".7 refs.
