| Abstract: |
| There are now 577 libraries in minority regions in China. Each of the 5 minority autonomous regions has its own library directly under the region government. Since 1985, the state government has been supporting and training a large amount of librarians in minority regions. There have been by now more than 1000 graduates among them. The author proposes some countermeasures to the shortage of library budgets in minority regions. |
