Abstract: |
Through a comparison of curricula in library and infor-
mation science between China and the United States,the author discovers the following facts:1) Chinese curricula are less systematic-especially having no definite division of majors,no clear relationship among courses and no deep subdivisionof curricula;2) there is a need for the improvement of curricula in the Chinese system;3) there is little flexibility in Chinese teaching methods.Thus,the author thinks that there should be a reform in curricula in library and information science in China to meet the needs of education reform and the development of library and information science in the world.
