Abstract:
Starting with the materialisation of information organisation and knowledge organisation, the author proposes "knowledge space", a new conceptual basis for knowledge organisation. then, the atuthor studies"concept vectors"in knowledge field which can he represented in multidimensional spaces, personal“status vectors”based on these concepts,"representation vectors" of information items which may exist in retrieval systems including knowledge subspaces, "retrieval volume" of subspaces of users expanding or narrowing retrieval subspaces and implications of the new concept. 11 refs.
