Abstract:
There has been much controversy over the future of libraries in American library community. Some people think that although the ways by which libraries provide services for readers will be changed, the purposes will be the same. Some people think that digital libraries will cause the abandonment of traditional ways of library management. Others claim to establish a global network library. 7 refs.
