Abstract:
In this paper, the author summarizes the historical characteristics of officially compiled bibliographies in the Ming and Qing dynasties as follows: extreme autocracy and exclusion of dissidents, pragmaticism, and summary and development of scholarship in the late feudal period. 15 refs.
