Abstract:
Public document information"could be a comparatively precise description of the objects of library science. The attention to public document information determines the direction of library science. In this paper, the author thinks that the basis and ultimate direction of the development of library science are the coordination of information technology with scientific knowledge system and its integration with the operational mechanism of social culture. 11 refs.
