| Abstract: |
| Mr. Qiu Kaiming is a pioneer and leader in the early development of East-Asian libraries in the United States. One of his major contributions is the integration of Western library management methods and traditional Chinese bibliographical studies to process Chinese and Japanese materials in American libraries. The Harvard-Yenching Library founded by him has become a treasure house for Chinese studies. Edited by Prof. Cheng Huanwen, Selected Works of Qiu Kaiming includes technical advices in book processing as well as practical experiences in library management. |
