Remote access can maximize the utilization of electronic resources of library. The author discusses the characteristics of VPN and thinks that it is a comparatively ideal remote access pattern. 1 fig.

      图书馆开展馆外访问的目的是使其电子资源得到更大程度利用。通过馆外系统,不仅能够满足授权用户通过身份认证从馆外访问图书馆有使用许可限制的电子资源的需求,也可满足由此派生出的一些特殊访问的需求。VPN是馆外访问较为理想的方式,它具有安全、服务质量保证、灵活、可扩充、可管理、可支持等特点。图1。
