| Since its first issue 50 years ago， Journal of Library Science in China has formed a good tradition in the following aspects：balance of theories and practices，roles of theoretical orientation，development of an author circle，wide vision，etc．It has great achievements in leading academic directions，pushing the development of librarianship，promoting theoretical innovations，promoting international exchanges and providing good environment for the development of library professionals．1 tab．9 refs． |
