| The authors analyze the British standards “Public Library Service Standards” and “Comprehensive, Efficient and Modern Public Libraries for Wales—Promoting Higher Service Standards”, which are about the network of public libraries and service coverage rate; the standard of Queensland, Australia, “Library Building Standards” and the guideline of New South Wales “People Places：A Guide for Public Library Buildings in New South Wales”, which are related to the location and size of libraries; the “minimum standards” of the public libraries in Japans “Enforcement Regulations of Library Law”, the principle of library establishment in “Guidelines for Public Libraries”, and the building indicators of “Regional Library” of the “Library System” in “The mission and objectives of public library”. 8 tabs. 11 refs. |
