Abstract:
In the networked environment, document information in academic libraries is sharable, and the social service to the public is developing. Especially, the social services of American academic libraries are more mature. The authors analyze the present situation of social services of American academic libraries from these aspects of social service objects, social cooperation programs, study supporting services and special services. They also propose some advices for the development of social services of academic libraries in China. 2 tabs. 11 refs.

      网络环境里，高校图书馆的文献信息具备了流动性，面向社会的服务逐步发展。其中美国高校图书馆的社会服务发展较成熟，在社会服务对象、合作项目、学习支持服务及特殊群体服务等方面，均有很多值得我们学习的经验，为我国高校图书馆的社会服务提供了借鉴。表2。参考文献11。
