Abstract:
What's Library Science is a very instructive work, which analyses the achievements, explores the development approaches and builds a new knowledge system in library science with clear thinking and rigorous arguments. But the authors point of view“The nature of library is knowledge collection” needs further discussions. Library science research should establish its own discourse system, return to the humanities and culture, and it should present the situation that a number of schools co exist and contend. 6 refs.

      《图书馆学是什么》分析了图书馆学业已取得的成果，探索了图书馆学走向完美的路径，以清晰的思路、严谨的论证建构了一个全新的图书馆学知识系统。但作者提出的“图书馆的本质是知识集合”的论点尚需进一步探讨。图书馆学研究应该建立自己的话语体系，应该回归人文、走向文化，应该形成多个流派共存、争鸣的局面。参考文献6。
