      马宗荣先生（1896-1944）是中国近代图书馆事业史上具有特色的学者。作为社会教育学家，他从自身专业角度审视图书馆，撰写了多部图书馆学著作，并担任大学图书馆馆长。他提出图书馆是自由利用的教育机关，其图书馆“体用论”思想也得到图书馆界的广泛关注。参考文献14。
英文摘要:
Mr. Ma Zongrong(1896-1944)became a student in Japan in 1918. He studied social education in Japan, returned to China in 1930, and then became a library director and a library scholar. In this paper, the author analyzes Mr. Mas thoughts in library science. 14 refs.
