      中国图书馆学会及其前身中华图书馆协会,作为全国性的图书馆社会组织和学术团体,在百年的发展历程中,肩负起赓续传承文脉、引领学术研究、促进事业发展、推动人才培养、扩大对外交流的社会使命。中国图书馆学会成立以来,立足中华优秀传统文化保护传承,推动构建中国特色图书馆学体系,统筹指导完善图书馆治理体系,引领建设覆盖城乡的阅读推广服务体系,培育专业人才赋能事业长续发展,加强国际交流提升中国图书馆影响力。面向“十五五”及本世纪中叶,中国图书馆学会作为中国图书馆学术话语的构建者、图书馆事业现代化发展的促进者、图书馆人才队伍的孵化器、全民阅读促进行动的主力军、中国图书馆国际叙事的构建者,带领全国各级各类图书馆,践行“传承文明、服务社会”的初心使命,为建设社会主义文化强国贡献图书馆的智慧和力量。参考文献21。
英文摘要:
The Library Society of China （LSC） and its predecessor,the Library Association of China,as national level social organizations and academic groups for libraries,have undertaken the social missions of preserving and passing on cultural heritage,leading academic research,promoting the development of librarianship,driving talent cultivation,and expanding international exchanges over the course of a century.
Since its establishment,the LSC has been rooted in the protection and inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture. It has facilitated the transformation of library science research from empirical summarization to logical reasoning and critical thinking,promoted the development of the library science system with Chinese characteristics,comprehensively guided the improvement of library governance systems,led in the construction of a nationwide reading promotion service network covering both urban and rural areas,fostered professional talents to empower the sustainable development of the sector,enhanced international exchanges to elevate China's library influence,and advanced the global outreach of Chinese libraries and library science.
Standing at a new historical juncture,libraries face challenges in areas such as resource construction,nationwide reading,talent cultivation,and professionalization. Looking ahead to the period of the “15th Five Year Plan” to the mid 21st century,the LSC,as the architect of Chinese library academic discourse,a promoter of the modernization of librarianship,an incubator for library talent,a main force in the national reading campaign,and a builder of Chinese international narrative on libraries,will lead libraries at all levels across the country in fulfilling their social mission of “inheriting civilization and serving society,” contributing the wisdom and strength of libraries to building China into a country with a thriving socialist culture. 21 refs.
