| There are intricate，multiway relations between the traditional culture and the library. The paper puts emphasis on the analysis of the positive and the negative effects of the traditional culture on the library with the purple of exploring，expanding and deriving the positive factors that will be good for the library，from the traditional culture which facilitates the forming of the mode of thinking and the behavior pattern of the library，and is of great significance for the Chinese library development and the forming of national characteristics of the Chinese library science. 34 refs. |
