| A Statistical analysis is made for 362 articles published in the Journal from 1983 to 1993,2067 citations and the extend of co-authorship with a result that 82.9% of the articles were articles of monographic subject matter,81.2% were of realistic materials and 61.3% were research papers;there were 44.8% of the articles with citations,averaging 5.7 items per article;citations of library science literature accounted for 78.5%,those of journal literature made up 41.4% and those of English literature predominated,amounting to 93.6%;though there were 88.1% of the articles written by personal authors,the extent of co-authorship rose slightly.Fact show that the journal is a core international periodical in library circles.2 ills.4 tabs.8 refs. |
