| The applicable circumstances for several kinds of description listed in Appendix A of ISBD are explained through an approach to the description of series, multi volumed books and serials. The paper also points out on an emphatic basis that the standardization of machine readable data is the decisive factor to guarantee data quality and to carry out resource sharing. |
