In library classification tystems, there are such problems as rapid increase of classes, non relevance to the bibliographical practice, non scientificity of class names and notations as well as outdatedness of ideas and techniques in the compilation.To change this situation and to unify classification systems in China, we should control the quantity and quality of classes. 12 refs.
