| The author encourages library professionals not only to devote themselves to their own libraries, but also to make contributions to the World Digital Library. She thinks that we should provide faster services, and deliver good resources to remote areas. The author also reviews recent advances in library collection digitization projects, explains the necessity of international library cooperation and the need for financial supports. She points out that library professionals should take this opportunity to participate in the development of a global library without walls, and become international librarians. 43 refs. |
