Abstract:
To bring the social functions of document resources of library and information institutions into full play and to alleviate budget tightness, library and information institutions in China should actively participate in the market development of electronic publications, including the production of CD ROMs of library collections, the production of e books, selective dissemination of information, printing on demand, etc. Besides, the author proposes some approaches for the participation. 7 refs.
