Abstract:
There are generally accepted standards from occupation to profession. Since the late 19th century,librarians have made a series of efforts,including the establishment of library associations and schools of library,the development of library methods and techniques to establish core knowledge systems,and the creation of professional ethics to make the librarianship from occupation to profession. In the 1950s,the professionalization was questioned from outside and inside the librarianship. It prompted the librarianship to work harder on professional construction and move closer to stricter professional standards. Library's resources and services were changed through the reading promotion. However,it is still being questioned about the professionalization in library reading promotion.
In fact,library science has given a theoretical answer to whether reading promotion is in line with the professional goals of librarianship as early as the 1990s. The traditional library service seems fair,but it ignores service for special population who need service which is more active and interveningLibrary reading promotion is a service for people lacking reading willingness and reading ability. However,the professionalization of library reading promotion still faces many challenges:1) Reading promotion is disconnected from the business process of the library,and some activities are outside the core business process of the library;2) The resources of library reading promotion are no longer dependent on the library collection;3) Non library professionals participate the main library services and volunteers can directly undertake the services;4) Library science education loses the function of training librarians in reading promotion. The ideas of professional construction of library reading promotion include:1) The basic research should be strengthened on and the modern library ideas should be used on library reading promotion;2) The training of librarians in reading promotion should be improved through library associations;3) The normalization should be further studied and applied to organizational forms,business processes,service resources,target groups,performance evaluation and other business activities of library reading promotion. 20 refs.

      职业成为专业有公认的标准。自19世纪后期起,图书馆学家经过一系列努力,包括创建图书馆协会,创办大学图书馆学教育,研发图书馆方法技术以建立核心知识体系,创建职业伦理,使图书馆职业成为一个专业。20世纪50年代图书馆的专业性受到来自行业外部和内部的质疑,促使图书馆更加努力地进行专业化建设,向更严格的专业化标准靠拢。阅读推广的发展丰富了图书馆的资源与服务,由于其服务机理与形式不同于以往的图书馆服务,使得人们对于阅读推广的专业性产生疑问。早在20世纪90年代国际图书馆学对于阅读推广是否符合图书馆专业目标就已给出了具有学理基础的解答:传统图书馆看似不偏不倚的服务存在缺陷,图书馆需要辅以更加主动的、具有干预性的服务才能保证特殊人群服务。阅读推广就是图书馆针对缺乏阅读意愿和阅读能力的特殊人群的一种服务方式,开展阅读推广符合图书馆专业化的目标。但是,图书馆开展阅读推广的时间并不长,图书馆人对阅读推广实践的认识较为混乱,图书馆阅读推广专业化还面临许多挑战:①阅读推广与图书馆业务流程脱节,部分活动游离于图书馆核心业务流程之外;②图书馆阅读推广资源不再高度依赖馆藏文献集合,部分活动不依赖文献甚至活动过程中完全不出现文献;③非图书馆专业人员进入阅读推广服务主体,志愿者可直接承担面向读者提供知识和信息的服务;④图书馆学教育失去了培养阅读推广人才的功能。图书馆阅读推广的专业化建设的思路包括:①加强图书馆阅读推广基础研究,用现代图书馆理念指导图书馆阅读推广;②通过行业学协会对图书馆学教育的干预,完善阅读推广人才培养体系;③加强图书馆阅读推广业务规范研究,推动阅读推广的组织形式、业务流程、服务资源、目标人群、绩效评估等业务活动的规范化。参考文献20。
