mathematics and sociology; the objects of the study focus on specific professions and small user
groups with special background. 3) Research on practical guidance of information literacy is
active. Not only the information technology is used in the information literacy education, but also
the construction of curriculum system and the development of evaluation index system are used;
at the same time, the influencing factors of information literacy of different personality traits have
also got full attention. 4) Librarians in the research of library management are the most remarkable
topic. In research topics of library management based on human resource management, librarian
study accounted for over sixty percent of the total, both for the analysis of characteristics of the
librarians themselves and the analysis of librarians’ work satisfaction. At the same time, librarians’
professional development, librarians’ identity, librarians’ ability and education research are also
some of the hot topics. 5) The research problems of digital library are very precise although the
amount is not rich. Researchers chose technology application and development and usability as
the main bodies. Meanwhile, some papers pay attention to factors other than technologies, such
as society, psychology, economy, and politics and so on. 6) The orientation of the research about
information service is clear. Some researches aim at information service and influencing factors of
different users, and some researches emphasize on service practice of various subjects.
Since 2015, research fronts are evolving gradually. With the continuous influence of technology
and education innovation, the vision of library research is becoming more and more open. The
research domain will be expanded and extended. The research fronts will evolve along the cross-
synthesis of subjects of Library and Information Science, Computer and Information Science,
Communication and Journalism, Education Science, Management Science. User’s demand is
considered as the basic point, management and service revolution as the method.
This study carried out a data analysis of a time span up to 89 years and chose knowledge
map analysis method as the clues to obtain research topic and used content analysis method to
analyze subjects and to ensure the objectivity of theme analysis and accuracy. Compared with the
existing research, it may improve the comprehensiveness and accuracy of the data and reflect the
characteristics of the evolution of research topics objectively. The results would be more specific if
literature co-citation methods were combined to do the research.
