Rankings never really quantify contributions: A quantitative and qualitative study on universities and their libraries

2 Results

According to the ranking methodology, we chose UK QS top 100 universities 2020 as a sample and
computed their rankings based on S1, S2 and S3, noted above. Then we drew following results.

2.1 University rankings in three methods

Tables 3 and 4 show the top 10 universities and the last 10 universities based on the above criterion
system S1, S2 and S3. We can see that the top 10 universities change little, while the last 10
universities change a lot.
