5 Conclusion

This study analyzes and defines the change basis and element change mechanism of archival
research paths and methods in the DH environment, and on this basis, combined with the
core concepts of DH research, the archival research path is summarized into three primitives:
“discovering”, “reorganizing” and “storytelling”, and at the same time forms a methodology
system of archival DH research, including eight sub-primitives such as “positioning”, “context
recognition” and “dynamic aggregation”, so as to integrate the archival research concept
into the field of DH research. Correspondingly, taking “value retention”, “value mining”
and “value realization” as the main lines, the technical system of archival research from
the perspective of DH is sorted out, so as to reflect the role of DH methods in promoting
the value performance of archives. In the empirical part, we take WU Baokang’s archival
data as the research object for case study, comprehensively apply metadata annotation, data
processing based on deep learning, humanistic method-led archival context recognition,
knowledge organization and dynamic knowledge graph embedded in archival elements, and
integrate domain knowledge for narrative performance, and then realize the systematic and
