of the framework of fundamental theory of library science with Chinese characteristics

will continue to absorb the essence of various advanced scientific theories and academic thoughts
from ancient and modern China and abroad, as well as adopt new theories, new ideas and new
methods that reflect the development and transformation of the times and the library sector with
a broader vision and deeper insight. In so doing, the fundamental theory of library science with
Chinese characteristics can provide not only plan for Chinese librarianship but also wisdom for the
development of international librarianship.
