At the moment, opportunities and challenges faced with by the subject research of library science are in 3 aspects:the rapid social development;the pluralistic concept of value;the expansion of disciplinary theories of library science. Facing with these challenges,library research work should make clear the distinguishing features,grasp the key points and take vigorous action to do a good job of transforming the scientific achievements.
