为把握时代脉搏,回答图书馆学的时代之问,四川大学公共管理学院和《中国图书馆学报》编辑部联合主办“继学开新:图书馆与时代”学术研讨会。与会专家围绕“图书馆向何处去”“图书馆学向何处去”和“图书馆与图书馆学的互动”三大主题展开研讨,形成诸多观点,并凝聚出关于图书馆技术取向、图书馆学理论方向、图书馆与图书馆学的实践互动等一系列重要共识。本文梳理了学术研讨会上近30位专家的发言要旨,围绕三个主题的焦点探讨、观点碰撞和共识融聚分别展开分析,并从拓展图书馆学优势空间、适应技术变革寻求突破、夯实学科基础理论、建设知识共同体四个方面梳理图书馆学未来的探索方向和路径。参考文献3。

Opportunities and challenges have coexisted in the development process of librarianship and library science since the beginning of the new century. On the one hand,the proposed national strategies such as the construction of the modern public cultural service system and “Digital China” have promoted breakthroughs in China's librarianship. On the other hand,the disruptive changes brought about by frontier technologies such as big data,blockchain,metaverse,and artificial intelligence have put librarianship and library science research to severe tests. So how should the high quality development of the librarianship be promoted? How should theoretical research in library science be promoted? How can libraries and library science achieve positive interaction and make adaptive changes? Contemporary library scholars have a responsibility to find the answers to those questions.
In order to grasp the pulse of the times and address contemporary issues in library science,the School of Public Administration of Sichuan University and the editorial department of Journal of Library Science in Chinajointly hosted the symposium of “Inheritance and Development:Libraries of the Times”. About 30 experts from industry and academia held discussions on three main topics,including “where is the library going”,“where is library science going” and “the interaction between libraries and library science”. This paper organizes the key ideas from the experts speeches. Based on the discussion of the three key topics of “how should libraries respond to the changing technological environment”,“how should the knowledge system of library science change with the times” and “how to grasp the interaction between libraries and library science in the new environment”,the paper refines diversified insights from experts and summarizes a series of important consensuses on the technological orientation of libraries,the value and development direction of the theory of library science,the professional spirit of libraries,and practical interaction strategies between libraries and library science.
Ultimately,the future exploration paths of library science condensed by the paper are as follows. 1) Strengthen the belief of library development and maintain enthusiasm for exploring discipline theories,so as to expand the advantageous space for the development of librarianship. 2) The discipline of library science should keep pace with the times in the new technological environment,scientifically grasp the new demand structure and trends,and respond to the requirements of the times with groundbreaking practices and theories. 3) The discipline of library science needs to stand at the heights of history and times to consolidate the core knowledge and develop the basic theories. 4) Academia and industry need to create a more closely linked knowledge community of library science and jointly build a knowledge system of library science with Chinese characteristics. 3 refs.
