               technology, but learn how to use these techniques, especially the key techniques to apply big data
               to digital libraries. They should be familiar with all kinds of data analysis tools and software. They
               should master Internet resources, literatures, and other types of databases, and endeavor to become
               a knowledgeable person in academic resources and network resources.


               3  Conclusion

               Big data has motivated a major transition of digital libraries. It calls for digital libraries to expand
               their data resources, improve the capabilities, strengthen the service functions, and enrich the
               service products. A brand new digital library will be constructed in this era. Under such a new
               environment, we should have a new understanding on digital libraries, think from multiple aspects
               like resource framework, technology application, and service mode, think by numbers, and observe
               the changes of digital libraries. Next generation digital libraries will depend on each other to
               survive in the competition with academic resource constructors and progress under the big data
               environment.
