              It can be seen from Figure 4, the citation lengths of law and medicine, and the citation lengths of
            computer science and sports are relatively similar, while the citation lengths in literature are higher
            than in other disciplines. Figure 5 shows that the citation lengths in all five disciplines reach the
            peaks in the range of “40-60”, accounting for about 23%. Then, the number of citation contents
            gradually decline. The overall trend shows that lengths of most citation contents are distributed in
            the range of “20-160”.
            3.4  Results analysis on citation sentiments
            In this study, we found that there are obvious differences in the proportions of different sentiment
            categories (most citation sentiments are neutral), which is similar to the distributions of sentiment
            categories in the research of Abu-Jbara. Hence, we used the method for analyzing citation polarities
            by Abu-Jbara, and analyzed the sentiments of citation content based on the two-step classification
