LI Yuhai, JIN Zhe, LI Jiahui & LI Jue / Five questions in the construction of smart library in China 033
6 Conclusion
In recent years, the library community and the academia have paid greater attention to the
smart library, and carried out extensive discussions on that topic. However, at present, the smart
library is still in the exploratory stage. In this process of development of the smart library, the
theoretical research of library science should take the initiative to conduct in-depth studies on
the construction mode, implementation route, business re-engineering, service mode, personnel
training and standard appraisal of the smart library, guide the practice of the library, make constant
improvement, and take concrete steps in realizing the goals of each stage, so as to promote the
smart transformation of the library.
