The third usage mode is hybrid of query expansion and replacement. As shown in Figure 11,
this model is to expand or replace the query term input by a user, which is the hybrid of the first
and second mode. The user can select one or more terms from the narrower terms, broader terms,
related terms, synonymous terms or English translations returned by terminology services to
expand the original query term, or click one of the above terms to replace the original one.
