older people were more likely to watch theatre and television). From the angle of occupation, the
approval of RRTC and DRA is higher among students than among other groups, and the approval
of RFP is also relatively high, where the approval of NCIRS and FSFP is low; the approval of CBP
among grassroots civil servants or public officials is the same as that of students, except that this
group has higher tendency to support FSFP. The approval of RRTC, RFP, DRA and FSFP is low
among enterprise employees and individual entrepreneurs, but their approval of NCIRS is high.
When analyzing educational factors, we find that better educational background leads to higher
approval of RRTC, RL and FSFP. Last but not least, higher household income often corresponds to
lower approval of FSFP.
Thirdly, the distance from the administrative village to the urban area significantly influences
rural residents’ approval of DRA and FSFP. As the distance increases, the approval of DRA
increases, while the approval of FSFP decreases. Nevertheless, it does not show significant effects
on the other four projects.
