3 Weibo altmetrics indicator and altmetrics score

Altmetrics score is developed by Altmetric.com, which integrates all tracked data sources and is a
comprehensive value of all weighted altmetrics indicators. It is used to reflect the online attention
or interest of a scientific artefact, and currently the most famous altmetrics service. Although
calculation process of altmetrics score remains not transparent in that weight of only a small
portion of altmetrics indicators are given and without detailed weighting process, altmetrics score
becomes highly recognized as measure of online attention of scientific artefacts. In order to provide
a better understanding of relative position of altmetrics score, Altmetric.com provides context data
of altmetrics score by providing percentile data comparing altmetrics score of article A (represented
as ) with that of other articles in the specific dataset. The compared objects are, altmetrics score
of articles in the whole database, altmetrics score of articles in the whole database in latest three
months, altmetrics score of articles in the same journal, and altmetrics score of articles in the same
journal in latest three months.
We extracted for each Weiboed scholarly article the altmetrics score and context data, and
compared them with other non-Weiboed articles in the database. Suppose there are N (here N
