(2) Resource integration. This is the foundation for conducting a research project on digital
humanities. The evaluation of resource sources is a relatively traditional but the most stable way.
The main objective is to examine whether the integrated resource is complete, reliable, and rare,
with a focus on evaluating it from perspectives such as authoritativeness, rarity, completeness, and
systematicness. Among them, accurateness and authoritativeness of content is the most important,
as it determines whether users can obtain reliable knowledge. Especially when researchers use
[11]
external data, they need to distinguish its authenticity . If the resource of a digital humanities
project is exclusive, unique and rare, its value will be great when it is digitized, integrated and
opened to the academic community or public. This is the primary prerequisite for evaluating digital
humanities, because no matter how advanced method you use in any research project, the research
will lack the bedrock if the foundation is unstable.
(3) Data interpretation. The statistical data or visual charts obtained by conducting research
through various tools and methods in digital humanities projects need to be explained by discipline
professionals to draw research conclusions. Whether these explanations are reasonable in
solving problems, whether they are in line with the professionalism of the field, whether they are
profound in interpretation, and whether they are effective to guide practice, all of the above play
an important role in evaluation. It should be examined whether its interpretation has effectively
promoted theoretical and knowledge innovation in the discipline, achieving results that cannot be
accomplished in traditional humanities research methods.
(4) Interdisciplinary innovation. Currently, the construction of “new liberal arts” in China is
aimed at meeting the requirements of disciplinary development and integration brought about by
the new round of technological revolution, and achieving profound and comprehensive changes
in philosophy, social science education, and knowledge production models through “adaptation”
and “pursuit of change” . The interdisciplinary nature of digital humanities has become a new
[12]
force in the development of new liberal arts, which can promote the formation and development of
interdiscipline. Therefore, evaluating the innovation level of a digital humanities research from the
perspectives of interdisciplinarity, integration, transboundariness and innovation is in line with the
requirements of the development of new liberal arts, and is also a necessary part of its construction.
(5) Recognition of academic results. Interdisciplinary is the most essential attribute of digital
humanities, and academic result recognition is also different from the traditional one. The digital
humanities project often requires extensive cooperation, and the concept of authors in academic
results is also significantly different from traditional ones, especially in cooperation between
different fields. At the same time, many digital humanities results are not only presented as papers,
but also virtual simulation models, programs, code design, data visualization, digital journals,
digital blogs and other types. Therefore, academic cooperation annotation and application of
results are particularly important, which is one of the important academic norms for digital
humanities. In terms of cooperation annotation, firstly, the prerequisite for the development of
digital humanities projects is the consensus about common values and rules among collaborators
