and technology also requires intelligence on competition to play a role and make discourse.
(5) Information discourse on military affairs, national defense, security and diplomacy
The work on information originates from military affairs and plays an important and even
decisive role in the analysis of military situation and study of military development trends,
strategies and tactics worldwide. The development of science and technology in military affairs
and national defense requires intelligence as reference and in the analysis of the development trend
of science and technology, and national security also needs support from intelligence. Therefore,
the military situation and military development trends rely on the discourse of military intelligence;
the development of science and technology in military affairs and national defense needs the
scientific and technological information, national defense information and military intelligence to
provide discourse; and national security requires the discourse of security information.
(6) Discourse of other fields
The framework of macroscopic intelligence and the discourse of information science cover a lot
of fields. Although these fields and professions may not belong to information science, they may
bring unexpected results to observe problems and make discourse based on the theories, thoughts
and knowledge of information science. For example, there can be information discourse on
information economy and economic development index; information discourse on forecasting and
preventing financial crisis and financial storm; information discourse on environmental, ecological,
health and social issues; information discourse on the building of think tanks; and information
discourse on emergency response, international relations and diplomatic issues. These information
discourse can supplement professional discourse in these fields from another perspective.

2.4 Relations between the three systems

The discipline system, academic system and discourse system are closely related. They are
interlinked as scope, content and form. To be specific, the discipline system determines the scope
of discourse, the academic system reflects the content of discourse, and the discourse system
determines the way of expression. More precisely, the discipline system and academic system are
the basis of the discourse system, and the discourse system originates from the discipline system
with clear research objects and frameworks and the academic system with solid and profound
professional knowledge. Without a perfect discipline system and academic system, as well as solid
theoretical basis and profound knowledge system, the discourse capability will be weakened, and
the power of discourse can hardly be guaranteed.
