profound and sound theoretical system and knowledge system can guarantee the authority and
popularity of the discourse of a discipline. The discourse system of a discipline is manifested in the
application of the research results and the theoretical approaches of the discipline. The discourse
system must adopt the framework of the discipline system and center around the academic system,
in order to share its insights on social development and related issues.

2.1 Discipline system of information science with the idea of macroscopic intelligence

As we all know, disciplines are relatively independent knowledge systems. Information science is a
knowledge system composed of theories, technologies and approaches involved in the production
and communication of information; from the perspective of information chain, information
science is a knowledge system consisting of theories, technologies and approaches adopted in
the process from data to information, knowledge, intelligence and information service; from the
view of macroscopic intelligence as well as national security and development, the discipline of
information science covers many fields and is also transversal and supportive to decision-making.
Many scholars have expressed their views on the development of the disciplines on information
science. MA Feicheng et al., from the background of the new liberal arts, proposed that the
development of library and information science should focus on four aspects: caring for social
needs, valuing intersection and integration of disciplines, boosting theoretical innovation, and

following the tradition of humanity . BAO Changhuo et al. believed that the discipline system
of information science is a knowledge structure system and theoretical framework centered on
the task of turning information into intelligence under the overarching plans of national security
and development [21] . YANG Jianlin proposed the basic framework of the discipline system of
information science that integrates information thinking with intelligence thinking. The framework
consists of basic theories, supporting theories, history of information and information science, as
well as approaches and techniques of information science . LI Guangjian and others believe that

the system architecture of information science is designed to apply the ideas, thinking, awareness
and principles of information science to various applied branch disciplines (information science
on science and technology, military affairs, security, economics, medicine and agriculture), which

jointly constitute the discipline system of information science .
Many scholars have also elaborated on the branch disciplines of information science. LU
Shengjun et al. analyzed QIAN Xuesen’s ideas on scientific and technological information, and
introduced his theoretical system of scientific and technological information from the aspects
of practicality, scientific nature, completeness, foresight, systematicness, strategy, guidance,

integration, thinking and pertinence of information . SHANG Pu demonstrated the development
of information science on national security from the holistic view of national security, emphasizing
that the discipline should be established according to the characteristics, system and theories of
information, making it a comprehensive discipline of science to explore the strategies and ideas on
