4 Conclusion

The development of archival science with Chinese characteristics shall connect the past with
the future. The development of the basic theoretical system of archival science with Chinese
characteristics also needs to be grounded on the conditions in China, inherit from the past, take
hold of the present and face toward the future, strengthen self-confidence in theoretical work,
and increase the contribution of theories; find new problems, propose new ideas and create new
theories from the practice according to the history and future of the archival science with Chinese
characteristics; and highlight the characteristics, style and spirit of China in the process of building
the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of archival science with Chinese
characteristics, so as to contribute the wisdom of the discipline to the development of philosophy
and social science with Chinese characteristics.
